Rain Dance is a collection of paintings in watercolor and oil that explore the ever-changing, shifting surface, worlds and forms of the ocean and water, and its relationship to painting.  The action and process of painting is further explored with a video installation, that elucidates the metamorphic courtship between the works.  Oquist uses painting and the flow of content to divine the mysterious, vacillating world, as if a mutating raft on an agitating sea.
