Ceramics from around the Globe Thursday, 3:30 - 5:00 p.m., starts Sept. 24
Coil, pinch, and slab your way around the world as students experience different cultures through African Masks, Tiki-inspired cups, and the folk art of Mexico. This supportive and lively class is suited for artists of all levels and experience. New students will learn a variety of hand building techniques while the more experienced artist will continue developing their individual style. All projects will be fired and glazed.

Little Hands - World Art
ages 4 - 5 Thursday, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Starts Sept. 17
In this Fall season, we will be making art activities inspired by art around the world from various cultures in Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Europe, Australia, and Antarctica. We will make art with various wet and dry mediums, also have fun creating art with sand, paper, and fabric.

Drawing and Painting
Ages 6 - 9 Wednesday, 3:30 - 5:00 p.m., starts Sept. 23
Autumn is here, and we will explore the mood and palette of the season and create drawings and paintings about various aspects of love, life, and nature in portraits and landscapes. We will use inspiration from Austrian painters Gustav Klimt and his protege Egon Schiele, and their unique interpretations of lines, colors, and composition.

Ages 9 - 12 Monday, 3:30 - 5:00 p.m., starts Sept. 14
Learn where animation starts, in the hands of an artist! In this class, students will discover shape design, movement, and proportions to make characters come to life. Then they will design and color backgrounds, setting the stage for bringing the story all together in a storyboard sequence that will be animated in a digital flipbook. All levels encouraged to participate.

Creative Writing
Ages 9 - 12 Tuesday, 3:30 - 5:00 p.m., starts Sept. 22 (new start date)
Come learn what makes good stories tick, draw us in, and turn the page. We will use writing exercises and prompts to get our brain juices flowing, and learn how to create compelling characters, plots and settings. Students will create personal portfolios in addition to a group zine.

Looking to kick start your writing? Find what you want to say, in prose, whether it’s fiction or non-fiction? Through exercises and prompts, listening and sharing, you’ll write short pieces that can spur you to continue on your own. Either way, you’ll get an imagination-to-pen workout.

Exploring Drawing and Painting
Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., meets 6 weeks, starts Sept. 19
In this class we'll look at ways to bring strength to our painting, by incorporating drawing skills. We'll sketch out composition, edit out detail, getting down tonal values, and explore line, brushstroke, and use of colour. If you have any ideas you'd like to work on, please bring them in. We will work from still life and photos, and look at the drawings and paintings of several artists. Whether a beginner or intermediate artist, you will enjoy growing as an artist in this class.
