Sarit Swanborn

Sarit is an artist native to Los Angeles. She received her BARCH degree from The School of Architecture at USC, followed by working for renowned architect, Thom Mayne of Morphosis. Her transition from architecture firms to the classroom setting began working as a graphic artist forThe Galef Institute which produces K-12 arts integrated curriculum for charter schools. She received her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential fromCalState TEACH in 2009 and currently collaborates with SPACE writing and teaching art and architectural curricula for local elementary schools, afterschool and summer camp arts enrichment programs, in addition to offering professional development workshops for classroom teachers. When not teaching, she can be found at home in her studio working as a sculptor and illustrator.

Make art collages and haikus to express diversity & neighborly love in our community. Inspired by the art installation, “Have You Seen Him?” No need to sign up, just show up near the “Walking Man” sculpture by the South Pasadena Metro Station, Meridian Ave. and Mission Street.
