Karen Rizzo

Karen Rizzo's debut novel, Famous Baby, a Los Angeles Times Summer Reading Pick, was published this past summer.  She is also the author of Things to Bring, S#!T to Do, a non-fiction book built around her penchant for lists. The recipient of a MAGGIE Award for Best Essay in a West Coast Magazine, her stories and essays have appeared on NPR and in the Los Angeles Times, Publishers Weekly, Living Fit, Salon, Beatrice, Fresh Yarn, and VIVmag as well as the anthology Life’s A Stitch: The Best of Contemporary Women’s Humor. She's read her stories at SPACE, Literary Death Match-LA, Vermin On The Mount, Tongue & Groove, and Ensemble Studio Theatre.

Make art collages and haikus to express diversity & neighborly love in our community. Inspired by the art installation, “Have You Seen Him?” No need to sign up, just show up near the “Walking Man” sculpture by the South Pasadena Metro Station, Meridian Ave. and Mission Street.
